This is big, really big…and good, and cheap . The 21st annual Really Good, Really Big, Really Cheap Book Sale , is this weekend (Sat., Aug. 13-Sun., Aug. 14) at McAlister Square (225 S. Pleasantburg Dr.) .

The sale, featuring thousands of donated books ( last year’s sale featured 130,000 books), is Greenville Literacy Association ’s (GLA) largest fundraiser of the year. Proceeds benefit the nonprofit’s mission of “enriching our community by increasing the literacy + employability of our citizens.”

Here’s what you can expect this weekend + how you can get involved. 

If you didn’t get tickets to Friday night’s Kick-Off Party and book sale preview, don’t worry. The first full day of the sale kicks off on Sat., Aug. 13 and runs from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Entry is free. Pro tip : Come prepared to walk away with your findings by having a box or bag handy. This shopper snagged 100+ books at last year’s sale . 

The Big Bag Sale runs on Sun., Aug. 14 from 12-4 p.m. Entry is free, and shoppers can fill designated bags for $10.
